Italy is a country of sun, high mountains, sea and nature reserves, cities and monuments, where every stone has a story.
This is a country located in Europe, on the border with Austria, Switzerland, France and Slovenia. It consists of 20 regions: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Fruili Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy (Number one in population), Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily (the largest area ), Tuscany, Trentino-Alto Adige Umbria Valle d’Aosta, Veneto. There are islands that belong to Italy: Sicily, Sardinia, Naples, Capri, Pelagsky archipelago Egadi archipelago and the Aeolian Islands. Most of the islands are located in the southern part of the continent and can be easily reached by ferry or boat. Italy is washed by five seas: the Mediterranean, Ionian, Tyrrhenian, Adriatic and Lugiriyskim.
